Friday Favorites Vol. 2

Hi friends!

We made it to another Friday! I don’t know about you guys, but this week was a doozy for me. I returned from a quick trip to New York for work on Sunday. The trip was short but the days were long, and it knocked me out! I then flew to Austin for two days in the middle of the week for work again, and though it was another short trip, I am beat. Definitely looking forward to a relaxing weekend at home.

It’s also National Coffee Day (which should be every day, amiright?!) so this FF is all about my favorite coffee spots and roasts!

I LOVE Augie’s Coffee Roasters. They have a small shop in Claremont inside the Packing House that’s right next to a little ice cream shop. I love going and getting a bag of their Guatemalan and a scoop of espresso ice cream from the shop next door.

My hands down favorite coffee spot is Better Buzz Coffee. They were a staple when I lived in San Diego. Unfortunately, the closest location to me now is in Escondido, but I always make time to stop when I head to La Jolla for work. I also grab a bag of their Night Sky blend. Dark and delicious!

Basic? Probably. But I love me some Stumptown. Their coffee is bomb and their cold brew is my absolute favorite, especially when it’s on nitro. They just came out with a sparkling cold brew…color me intrigued.

I really dig the Black House cold brew that’s made in house at Modern Times Brewery. It’s used in their Black House Stout. I lived within 10 minutes of a tasting room when I was in SD, and I would pick up a growler of this cold brew as often as I could! They’ve expanded their coffee line and I can’t wait to try some more roasts from them.

Not only does The Pie Hole have amazing pies (I personally love their salted chocolate chip cookie) but they have one of my favorite espressos. Ruben and I picked up a bag of their Dark Arts espresso a few years ago and it’s been a staple ever since. They also have a Dark Arts blend that they use in a nitro cold brew that’s omgggggg so good.

I’ve been going back and forth on whether or not to get a Chemex. Anyone have insight on these? If I don’t end up going with that, I’ve had my eye on a new French press. This one from Crate and Barrel has some serious mid century vibes that I’m living for. I also adore this coffee canister. I need a new one.

Hope your weekend is filled with relaxation and some great coffee!
